Spinning to Weave - Fall 1

The focus of this class will be learning to use a drop spindle to create various fibers for use in traditional and non-traditional creative practices. Students will use found materials that can be incorporated into the spinning. After being spun, the fibers created will be used to create woven pieces on non-traditional looms for a contemporary take on this traditional art form.

    ***This fee includes ALL materials for this class - a drop spindle, long fibers to work with and various found materials to include in the spun yarn. Students are encouraged to bring their own found fibers as well. A few frames for non-traditional looms will also be provided
