Explore the creative possibilities with gel plates, including building layers, monoprinting, image transfers, using stencils and masks, alcohol inks, imprints and stamps, organic mark making, building compositions, and trying different sizes of plates. You will leave with a solid foundation to build upon with gel plates in various media, and a nice pile of monoprints, collage papers, image transfers, and layered beginnings of paintings…. maybe even a masterpiece!
Beginner to advanced students are welcome!

REQUIRED SUPPLY LIST
Bristol Board,
Approximately 20 pieces of copy paper
5-10 sheets of white tissue paper, and any other papers you want to work with, (printmaking paper, handmade papers, sketchbook papers, for example)
Pencils, pens, oil pastels, other mark making tools you use (markers, pan pastels, chalk pastels, etc.)
Masking tape
Acrylic paints (heavy body and/or fluid), brushes, spreader, brayer if you have one,
Gel plate if you have one
Paper towels, and a water bucket you can fit your brayer into.
Instructor will bring gel plates to share, some papers for everyone, and all other supplies for image transfers, stencils, alcohol inks, organic and inorganic materials for imprinting and stamping.
