Domestic Moments is an exhibition that explores the artist’s relation to the domestic scenery of our everyday lives as the denizens of suburbia.
What does living in an environment that invites structure and habitual living look like? Resident artists of Chicagoland are invited to record and exhibit the family tensions, activities and chores, and moments of leisure that repeatedly punctuate our lives.
Call for Artists
Artists are invited to submit up to two works, each not to exceed 48" in its largest dimension. All work must have been created in the past 3 years and not previously exhibited at OPAL.
Drop off work: Thursday, January 30th - Wednesday, February 5th
Exhibition dates: February 7th - February 28th
Opening reception: Friday, February 7th, 7pm - 9pm
Pick up work: Saturday, February 29th- Wednesday, March 4th
Cost per submission:
$15/member for first submission, $10 for second submission - member
$25/first submission, $15 for second submission - non-member
