Classes held on 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10. After a demonstration and discussion led by Sulzen, students will explore the fundamentals of oil painting, such as light, shape, line, value and edges. Using a limited palette, students will study the basics of drawing and painting with a paintbrush while working from still life arrangements carefully designed for the principles of this class. As students work, Julie Sulzen will offer individual direction concerning the ideas explore in this class and offer general painting guidance when needed.
