This class is designed for those who are new to drawing or who want to improve their basic drawing skills. We will cover the fundamentals of drawing. We will also explore a variety of drawing media, including pencil, charcoal, and pastel. Students will have the opportunity to draw from observation, as well as from their imaginations.
In addition to the fundamentals of drawing, this class will also introduce you to historical and contemporary methods to observational drawing. You will learn about the different ways that artists have used perceptual measuring and 2-D modeling to create their work.
By the end of the class, students will have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of drawing and will be able to create confident and expressive drawings.
