Drawing & Painting the Portrait and Figure -Spring 1

  • OPAL - Carriage House 720 Chicago Avenue Oak Park, IL, 60302 United States (map)

Learning to draw the face and figure gives you drawing skills that carry over into all areas of art.

  • A sequential drawing method that really works

  • Learn to measure and see shape relationships with accurate proportions

  • Create a drawing with sensitivity and feeling

  • Learn to see value relationships and create form

  • Basic anatomy (I used to be a medical illustrator)

We will work from a live model every class.

If you choose to paint, a limited palette will be used to explore color, as students gain knowledge and confidence in color-mixing and brushwork.

This class is open to all levels of experience.

Beginners are welcome and will receive plenty of individualized instruction at the easel.

This is an iPad friendly class.

Tuesdays, 9:30 PM- 12:30 PM - THIS SESSION IS A 4-WEEK CLASS!
