Fine Art of Fiber - Spring 1

This class will be an introduction to fiber art with a new process to be explored each of the five weeks.  Each technique will build upon the last until they are all combined into a finished work as individual and unique as each of the students. We will cover baic fiber dyeing and painting, wet felting, needle felting, hand stitching, small needle woven tapestry and more.  

Thursdays, 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM

MATERIAL LIST

  • 11 x 17 Small thread scissors

  • Large tapestry needles

  • Misc. embroidery threads and bits of yarn

  • Needle felting needles (size 36 or 38)

  • Wool Roving (white and various colors)

  • Wool Roving, Dyes and Felting Needles for the class will be provided within the class fee.  Additional quantities will be available for purchase from the instructor it desired.
