Beginning Oil Painting Workshop

  • OPAL - Carriage House 720 Chicago Avenue Oak Park, IL, 60302 United States (map)

“Beginning Oil Painting Workshop” is a one-day, 3-hour workshop, with painter Julie Sulzen. After a demonstration and discussion by Sulzen, students will explore the fundamentals of oil painting, such as light, shape, line, value, and edges. Using alimited palette, students will study the basics of drawing and painting with a paintbrush while working from still life arrangements carefully designed for the principles of this class. As students work, Julie Sulzen will offer individual direction concerning the ideas explored in this workshop and general painting guidance when needed.
