In this class, students will be introduced to various techniques of how to successfully work with watercolor paints.
Focusing on architectural renderings, still life and figurative work, students will gain an understanding how to work with wet and dry paints.
This class is appropriate for students of all skill levels and is meant to be repeated as individual attention will be given to each student.

MATERIAL LIST
Paper
Arches 140 lb. watercolor block paper (cold press with the green cover) 10 x 14 min. size.
Optional: 22 x 30 full sheets (cold press) cut down to quarter sizes.
Brushes
1” flat brush
#8 and #14 round brush (Dick Blick Masterstroke series is good. So is Simmons)
Paints
Brands: Primaries (warms and cools) plus some earth tones. Winsor & Newton, Holbein, Daniel Smith, Cheap Joe’s, American Journey, brands are recommended.
Blues: Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue
Yellows: Lemon Yellow, Yellow Ochre
Reds: Scarlet Lake or Winsor, Alizarin Crimson, Rose Madder
Earth tones: Burnt Siena, Sepia, Payne’s Gray
Green: Viridian Green
Other Items
Sally’s Graphite transfer paper for tracing
Foam core or panel board for taping paper to
