Wednesdays, 9:30 am- 11:30am - This is a virtual class.
Instructor: Liz Brent
Capacity: 12 students
Learn the basics of using value, tone and shade with contrast and highlights using acrylic paint. Focus will be on the basics of the medium along with using these new skills and translating them onto the canvas. Class will start with learning how to build a value scale, tones and shades then move into mapping out a drawing, and building layers of paint with blending, contrast and highlights. The class includes group critique and discussion.
Registered students will be sent a Zoom link by the instructor 3 days prior to the start of class.

PAINT PALETTE (surface to mix your paints)
Any of these options will work just fine: Foam or plastic plate, palette paper, or plastic tray.

(3) CANVASES ( 8”x10” or 11”x14”) - Canvas Boards, Canvas Sheets, Stretched Canvas, or Mixed Media Paper- your choice
(3) PAINT BRUSHES
1 Large Flat (1 inch)
1 medium Flat (½ inch)
