STATEMENT/BIO
Rosemarie Dagostino retired from teaching Art Education classes in Oak Park, Illinois, 13 years ago and immediately began exploring the challenge of watercolor paint. Having graduated from Northern Illinois University, she has added classes to her academic history from the Art Institute, Northeastern Illinois University, National Louis University, through the Peninsula School of Art and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America at the Kenosha Public Museum. More recently she has renewed her interest for painting in Oils. She is a member of the Peninsula School of Art, IWS and the Oak Park and LaGrange Art Leagues. When not searching for subjects to paint in the forests of Northern Wisconsin she and her husband of 52 years travel. It is then that she looks for the “unusual” views of life which would inspire her to begin her next painting.
