Class Registration and Code of Conduct Policies
Registration
Registration is on a first come first served basis. Capacity is limited.
Specific programming schedules for classes, workshops, sessions and events are subject to change without notice. However, notice will be provided for those who are registered for classes, workshops, sessions or events, at least 3 days prior to their start. Registrants will be notified of the cancellation by email or by telephone.
Early registration is recommended. Late registration begins one week before the start date of a class, workshop, or event. A $20 per class late fee will apply.
Date of registration closure is at the discretion of the Executive Director and Instructor.
Any special fees, such as model fees or material fees, are indicated on the registration page for each class and are to be paid to the Instructor directly on the first day of class.
Payment in full is due at the time of registration. OPAL accepts cash, check and credit card (Visa, MasterCard & American Express) payment options.
Class registration will be confirmed once payment is received.
Cancellation & Refunds
If the office is notified (by email) at least 3 days prior to the start of the class, workshop, session or event, they are refundable, minus a processing fee of $20 for each class dropped. Registrants who opt to receive credit for a future class session in lieu of a refund will not be charged the processing fee.
Refunds are not offered after the start of any class session or workshop.
Missed Classes & Make-up Dates
There are no refunds or prorations for classes, workshops, sessions or events missed due to registrant absence. Make-up sessions for registrant absence may or may not be offered at the discretion of individual instructor and the Executive Director.
Registrants will be offered a make-up class if an instructor is absent due to illness or emergency.
Low Enrollment
Classes, workshops, sessions or events will be cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached. The Executive Director and Instructor/Facilitator determine this minimum enrollment number. These cancellations may be made, up to three days prior to the first day of the class or workshop. Registrants will be notified of the cancellation by email or by telephone. Full tuition will be refunded and can be either applied as credit to use for future enrollments or membership, or by mailed check within two weeks of cancellation notification (at the discretion of the registrant).
Photography
Representatives from OPAL may take photos of participants and/or their artwork during class sessions. These images are for OPAL use only and may be used in publications and/or our website. Please notify us if you would not like photos to be taken of you or your child.

OPAL is not responsible for individual property lost or forgotten on The OPAL premises.
