Monthly Critiques

OPAL offers multiple opportunities for artists to get friendly feedback on your art practice from fellow artists. Thank you to Artist member Fran Sampson for facilitating our critiques.

• Exhibitor’s Critique - This is an opportunity for the artists exhibiting in the current show to get feedback on their works included in the exhibition. To get the most out of this critique and to respect all artists, please arrive at the beginning and participate so everyone gets some valuable feedback. To create a safe space for critique to happen, only exhibiting artists are invited to attend.
  

• OPEN Critique - held in the gallery, typically on Thursday nights from 6-8pm.
  Anyone can bring in a single piece of their own artwork and get feedback from fellow artists.
  Artists participating in this critique are expected to bring a piece of artwork to discuss.
  To ensure this is a safe space for all, you must bring a work to discuss (this is not a spectator event).  It’s helpful to know if you plan to attend, please let us know you are coming.
