Watercolor Figurative Painting in Silhouette

In this one day workshop, you will learn how to layer colors for figurative paintings.

Students will start with a monochrome version to loosen up and then move into using color for this workshop. One on one instruction will be provided and a final critique will be held.

Register early so Tony can email you the photos so you can draw them out in advance.


A half hour break will be taken for lunch, so please bring something to eat.

MATERIAL LIST

  • #10-14 round brush for most of the painting. Smaller or flat brushes are fine too.

  • Payne’s Grey, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Scarlet/Winsor/Napthol/Cad Red Light, Cad Orange, Sepia, Ultra Blue, Phthalo Blue

  •  Cold Press watercolor paper, 140 or 300lb. 11 x 14 size is good.
