The history of art is largely a history of apprenticeship. This exhibition asks our OPAL instructors past and present to tell the story of their own lineages. Where possible we have asked their mentors, or collectors of their mentors to loan original works to hang next to their own. While this exhibition starts in the Carriage House Gallery, It extends well beyond as a selection of our teachers offer a series of museum tours specifically designed to contextualize their own very personal artistic development.
