The Aesthetic of Our National Identity

  • Oak Park Art League 720 W. Chicago Ave. Oak Park IL. 60302 US (map)

Artwork that explored and expressed the artist’s personal experience or of others they know living in the United States of America during our present moment. We are going through an interesting period of time where there are so many individual viewpoints of who we are as a nation and what it means to be a citizen and what rights are included. Many times, it is artists who are asked to tell their stories and the stories of others who have lost their voice or who are afraid to speak. The hope is that through art, our shared experiences and expressions will help us find a wider perspective and understanding of one another in our mutual national identity.
