ABSTRACTED ABSTRACTIONS EXHIBITION
This is an Open Call exhibition for artwork that best represents the artist's understanding and practice of the visual language of shape, form, color, texture and line.
This theme follows Encyclopedia Britannica’s, January 17, 2023 definition: abstract art, ”also called nonobjective art or nonrepresentational art, … in which the portrayal [recognizably specific] of things [objects, life forms] from the visible world plays little or no part.”
All art consists largely of elements that can be called abstract - elements of form, color, line, tone, and texture. Strictly speaking, the word abstract means to separate or withdraw something from something else.
