This class will give you a solid foundation in the techniques and strategies of oil painting. Beginning with underpainting and composition, your painting will start strong as we discuss and practice a plan for your canvas. Once a plan is made, we will use two different painting methods to complete your painting: Wet into Wet and Wet into Dry. Demonstrations will explain the variety and uses of the many different brushes and materials used in oil painting, how to mix and apply the paint, and how to use mediums to create different effects and to speed the drying time of your painting. This class aims to increase your confidence in this tricky medium.
