STATEMENT
Christine Steyer's deep love of art began when she was an art major at Lane Tech High School in Chicago. She continued to study Asian Art at Waseda University in Japan and received a BA in Studio Art from Knox college. Since then, she has continued to work in her favorite mediums of painting, collage and photography, and she has done various illustrating campaigns for Bellissima Opera's projects. Christine wants to create artwork that makes the viewer feel at peace. Her themes often revolve around nature and natural colors which were greatly influenced by her time in Japan. She enjoys making a series based on the variations of a singular visual theme. Christine's main job is in the music industry. She is an award-winning soprano and librettist. She teaches music at the elementary and university level, and advocates for musical projects that serve to enhance the community at large.
