STATEMENT

I work in three dimensions, using wood and wire as my preferred materials, most often in combination. The wood is often found or harvested. My creations are most often abstract, but can carry a semblance of reality. Some of my pieces engage and challenge the viewer to imagine their use or function. My major inspiration is nature. I like the orderliness of line and arc found there. Most recently, I have become interested in working with bent wood forms, again combined with wire.
